San Francisco Broker’s Tour Schedule

A neighborhood-by-neighborhood guide from Team Hatvany Kitchen.

Held weekly across San Francisco, Broker’s Tour gives real estate agents an opportunity to visit properties, explore their interiors, and take a closer look at homes currently on the market. Participating listings are organized into a coordinated schedule, with different neighborhoods assigned specific time blocks throughout the day.

Although Broker’s Tour is technically intended for real estate professionals, it can also be a convenient opportunity for buyers to visit multiple properties in the same neighborhood, particularly when Sunday open houses don’t fit their schedules.

If you’re considering attending Broker’s Tour as a buyer, check with your agent beforehand to confirm whether a property welcomes unaccompanied visitors and how best to introduce yourself. Your agent may also be available to accompany you.

Broker’s Tour is an excellent opportunity to evaluate a home’s layout, condition, natural light, and surroundings, helping you determine whether a property meets your needs.

Designated lockbox tour listings

SFAR lists an all-day block for properties specifically designated for lockbox tour. Access remains subject to the listing’s instructions and authorization. A lockbox designation does not make a property a public open house or override a declined showing. Lockboxes are Broker only, so as a buyer you would need to be accompanied by your Agent, but those can otherwise be seen any time.

A few common questions

Can buyers attend broker tour?

Broker tour is primarily intended for real estate professionals, but there are certainly exceptions and we have had success sending buyers and instructing them to introduce themselves and who they are represented by. If you’d like to see a participating home, ask your agent to confirm access with the listing agent. Don’t assume every property welcomes unaccompanied buyers.

Will every home for sale be open?

No. The schedule establishes the regular time blocks by district. Check the individual listing for participation, hours, and any appointment requirements.

How does broker tour help sellers?

It gives agents an opportunity to experience the property firsthand, ask questions, and consider it for their clients. It can also provide useful feedback as part of the broader marketing process.

What if a home sits near a neighborhood boundary?

Use the property’s assigned MLS district and published tour instructions. Familiar neighborhood names do not always line up exactly with MLS boundaries.
